Preschool

The preschool, also as know 1st Cycle, is designed for children between the ages of 3 and 5. It consists of three sections: first year, second year, and last year of nursery school.

The primary objective of the preschool is to cultivate children’s desire to attend school in order to acquire knowledge, foster social cohesion, and promote personal growth.

The teachers establish a diverse range of learning scenarios in their classrooms, such as games, problem-solving activities, and practice exercises. They select these activities based on the specific requirements of the class as a whole and the individual needs of each pupil.

The reception, playtime, relaxation times, sleep and hygiene are all integral components of schooling. The individuals responsible for young children organise them with a focus on this aspect, providing comforting reference points.

  • French is the primary language used for teaching and communication.
  • Pupils benefit from one and half hours of Turkish teaching.
  • From the second year onwards, pupils are introduced to English.

Elementary School

Elementary school accommodates pupils between the ages 6 and 11, organised into two cycles and five levels.
The main goals of elementary school are to develop a high level of competency in the French language and to provide pupils with a basic understanding of mathematics. This will provide them with the essential skills and information needed for further learning.

Organised according to the cycle, this approach considers the gradual process of learning and the specific requirements of pupils, enabling them to develop the necessary abilities.
2nd cycle, the fundamental educational cycle, encompasses the initial three years of elementary school, which are referred to as First Grade (CP), Second Grade (CE1), and Third Grade (CE2).
3rd cycle, referred as the consolidation cycle, encompasses the two years of elementary school that follow the fundamental learning cycle, as well as the first year of the Collège, known as Fourth Grade (CM1), Fifth Grade (CM2), and Sixth Grade (in Collège).

  • French is the primary language used for teaching and communication.
  • One and half hours of English. These hours are taught in half groups.

Collège

The Collège signifies the commencement of pupils’ progression into secondary education. The curriculum is divided into four levels, ranging from the 6ème to 3ème, and is organised into cycles.

A unique “Homework” program empowers pupils to develop self-reliance in their individual assignments. Reducing class sizes provides pupils with enhanced assistance in the subjects of French and mathematics.

Cycle 4 encompasses the classes of 5ème, 4ème, and 3ème for additional study. During this phase, pupils enhance their understanding and expertise in several disciplines as they become ready for higher education and engage actively in shaping the future progress of society.

Lycée

The general stream at the Lycée primarily prepares students for higher education, particularly in universities, preparatory programs for prestigious institutions, or specialised schools.

Teaching in the general stream consists of a combination of standard courses that ensure the development of a shared cultural foundation, as well as specialised courses chosen by the student to enhance their knowledge and gradually refine their academic goals.

The lycée consists of three classes: tenth grade, eleventh grade, and twelfth grade.

  • The tenth grade is mandatory for all pupils who intend to pursue their studies in either the general or technological programs. At the commencement of the tenth grade, pupils undergo a placement test to evaluate their proficiency in the French language and mathematics. The pupils enrol in classes covering languages, mathematics, French, history-geography, science, and physical and sports education (EPS).
  • The final cycle consists of the eleventh and twelfth grades. The two-year systematic program equips pupils with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue further education in France, as well as in other countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Türkiye.
