APE – Parents’ Association

The LCDG Ankara Parents’ Association (APE) is an association that is not a legal entity within the school or in Türkiye. However, the LCDG Ankara APE has established its own statutes and working principles, which are derived from the regulations of APEs in both Türkiye and France, and works accordingly. In this respect, the APE is present on numerous boards within the lycée and at many AEFE platforms as a parent representative.
It operates solely on a voluntary basis. The objective of the volunteers is to enhance connections and encourage communication and cooperation between parents and the school. Specifically, the APE provides assistance for initiatives focused on enhancing education for pupils who have limited financial resources.
Their areas of work are as follows:

• Protect the material and moral interests of pupils in accordance with the principles of French education abroad.
• Support the achievement of the school’s objectives and cooperate with parents and management to support the implementation of decisions taken by the school.
• Contribute to the organisation of cultural, artistic and sporting events and activities.
• Contribute to the running of the school by representing parents on various committees and councils and providing financial support.
• Ensure communication between parents, school administration and AEFE.
• Attend to the teachers’ recommendations, objectives and projects, and support them in their realisation.
• Upon request or when deemed necessary, provide support to the school administration in areas such as surveys, electronic communication, transportation and catering services to facilitate communication between parents and the school.
• Support the school administration in seminars, leisure activities, competitions with parent participation, integration meetings, parent-school meetings and interviews.
• Collaborate to improve the school’s relationship with ADALFA.
• Accept and account for donations in kind and in cash made to the APE, to organise social and cultural events and campaigns, and to use such donations in accordance with the aims of the association.
• Provide financial and moral support to pupils with insufficient means, in cooperation with the school administration.
• Participate in working committees established to enhance the quality of instruction.
• Participate in national and international projects and contribute to the realisation of their objectives.
